Lesson 1: The Pathogen Purge

The process of disrupting the communications between pathogens is as important as identifying and eliminating them. Gut Thrive is designed to create a minimal amount of die-off, while moving through the program. Each individual will experience the Pathogen Purge a little differently and some will need to take it slower than others. This approach is extremely powerful, while being gentle at the same time. Your clients and patients will be moving through a 3-week Pathogen Purge and then stepping down during the Transition Week. Keep in mind that as you gain experience, there is no rush here. You could cut the dose in half for highly-sensitive or older, immunocompromised individuals and keep them in the pathogen purge for six weeks. You can take up to 6 months to take someone through the program or have them complete it in as little as three months.

The Pathogen Purge Strategy

Jack Tips, PhD, CCN, explains why and how pathogens affect our gut microbiome and individual healing path. He addresses the genetic component of this program in this video as well. Our mission in The Pathogen Purge is to remove pathogenic burdens so that you can prepare "the terrain" (i.e.- your client’s or patient’s gut) for the beneficial probiotic species to take root in the next step. You are tilling the soil now before you plant the garden. By removing these unwanted tenants from the body, it makes room for the beneficial contributors to keep the peace inside the GI tract. As a result, the brain will get the signal that the microbiome is in a state of health and then your client or patient's state of health will reflect that change.
